COLORBOND® Warranties
Did you know?
As with many warranties, you have to apply through the Bluescope Steel website for the warranty on your COLORBOND® roof products.
The process is relatively simple however, we have put together a shortened list of things to make this process even easier.
You will need to obtain the following:
- Type of product being used by the builder (Just ask your builder for the name of the product)
- Colour of your roof (Yes, the colour or hue of your roof is a big contributing factor to fading. The lighter your roof, the less likely your roof will fade. If you are in a high UV light area, you should choose a lighter colour/hue)
- What the pitch of your roof is (these should be on the plans)
- How far your house is located from the nearest coastline
- Total roof area (also available on your plans)
- Unwashed areas- means any areas of your roof where the rain will be unable to wash, which may cause a buildup of dust and/or moisture which can over time cause corrosion.
- If you will be installing solar panels on the roof
- Screws and fasteners used in fastening the roof (Just ask the builder)
- Is your home heritage listed?
This list is also available on a checklist on the Bluescope Steel website, along with the forms on applying for a COLORBOND® warranty.
